We’re Human
Watching shows & reading novels only prepares you for so much. You can reread a script and act it out later if the scene plays out wrong, or re-glance over a page if the words don’t make sense. But life …gosh you can’t redo life, you can’t take back what you did, or how you felt, you can’t write in characters to make your world better. You either have to suffer through it, or make the change yourself for something better.
Change isn’t easy though, it sure as hell ain’t a walk in the park. It doesn’t occur in an instant- but it sure does occur. It’ll rattle your cages if you’re not to weary. But most of us accept change unknowingly, we adapt, we look forward to the new experiences that are in store.
Life sucks though doesn’t it? I mean it can be brutal more times than most, but don’t we believe that because we’re so focused on the negative aspect of things. The bad, the good never has a chance to flourish. Take any memory- I’m sure you embellish parts of it because its not entirely perfect. Take what’s on your mind now.
What is on your mind now? What’s on my mind now? Right now, a certain situation is on my mind. A month from now whose to say? If I reread this I might know where my head was at, and I might not. The thing is, in a months time, things will change- for the good or not.
So why not focus on all the positive energy that gets lost on the surface? Why not appreciate what we have right now before its lost? Why not? Because we’re human, and we learn to suffer.
